Hayride Frequently Asked Questions
- Do we need to register and reserve a spot for a hayride? No, although our hayrides are first come first serve, we always make sure everyone who wants a hayride receives one. However, for large groups who want their own hayride, please call 330-264-0264 for scheduling information.
- How many people does each wagon hold? Our wagons hold up to 30 people. Sometimes we attach two wagons to the tractor for each hayride, accommodating up to 60 people per trip. For our fall season in 2011, we are also adding a large new wagon which will accommodate even larger groups.
- When are hayrides offered? Hayrides are available during normal public corn maze hours. Click here for our normal hours of operations. If you're interested in holding an event at Ramseyer Farms before or after our scheduled business hours, please call 330-264-0264.
- How long is the hayride? Our hayride travels across our 700 acre farm through both fields and scenic woodlands. Typically, the hayride lasts around 30 minutes.
- How much does the hayride cost? Hayrides are included in the normal cost of admission. There is no additional cost for a hayride and you can go as many times as you want as long as there are seats available!
- Should I bring along a blanket for the hayride? We ask that you dress appropriately for the weather when coming to the farm; some of our guests find it more comfortable on cooler days to have a blanket or sweatshirt with them for the hayride.
- Do you sit on a chair, hay bale, or floor? Our wagons are loaded with straw bales for you to sit on during the ride. For safety reasons, we require that you remain seated throughout the trip. Additionally, all our wagons have high sides to protect riders from falling out.
