At Ramseyer Farms, we look forward every year to our farm festivals, when we open our doors and invite your family to join ours in celebrating a fun fall day at the farm. Here are a few tips to make your first visit to our farm a fun and memorable one.
Weather-appropriate Clothing We do our best to make sure you are comfortable no matter what the weather, giving you shade from the sun and shelter from the rain. Since most of our activities are outside, you'll want to dress appropriately for the temperatures of the day. Layering with t-shirts and sweatshirts makes it easy to be comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. Don't be surprised if you end up staying the whole day, so bring a sweater or jacket for chilly autumn evenings.
Sturdy Shoes If you're going to head out in the field for picking pumpkins or to navigate one of our corn mazes, be prepared for ground that could be muddy if it has been raining recently. Make sure your feet are protected and you'll have a much better day.
Your Family Sure, you could enjoy all our farm activities by yourself, but it'll be so much better if you bring your family! We have enjoyable activities for all ages, and you'll love seeing the expression on your kids' faces as they hang out with the farm animals or try to tackle our mini maze. And don't forget grandparents! Bridge the generation gap with the many fun-filled activities. Be sure to bring along your camera or video camera to capture the memorable moments! If you forget your camera, though, don't panic, as we have disposable cameras for sale in our Big Red Barn.
Your Sense of Humor At Ramseyer Farms, we love making decorations, and every one of them is made with an eye toward fun. If you look around, you're bound to find more than a few laughs in unexpected places.
Your Appetite At our farm festivals, there's plenty of good food to eat. You will want to come back for more of our featured items, like homemade French fries and potato chips using our own, farm-grown potatoes. Fresh and local, you'll love the taste of our Ohio potatoes.
If you want to have a great family outing on a fall afternoon, please come on down to Ramseyer Farms for one of our farm festivals. Located in Wooster, we are easily accessible from both Columbus and Cleveland.
