Fall is a special time on the farm as we close down our Fall Festivals, Corn Mazes and U-Pick Pumpkin Patch. Although we're always sad to see visitors leave for the last time of the year in late October, there's still plenty of work to do before ending the season. The fall harvest represents a culmination of our hard work from early April to late October, when we finish harvesting hundreds of acres of wheat, corn, soybeans and pumpkins.
In addition, each year we also harvest many thousands of pounds of potatoes. At Ramseyer Farms, we grow a variety of potatoes, some of which are used to make fries and potato chips, which are available for purchase at our Fry Factory during our fall festivals.
The fall season is also important to us because it reminds us to be thankful for our many visitors, bountiful crops and earthly blessings.
